Ms. Simpson's 7th grade math classes are learning all about discounts, percentages, and math in the real world. Each student designed a store, complete with a product list, prices, and discounts for their Grand Opening! After the stores were completed, each student was given a budget and money to shop all the other stores. As they shopped, they needed to figure out the discount math, how each purchase would impact their budget, and pay for their purchases, as well as write a receipt! Students gained a better understanding of personal finance, how to calculate real world discounts, and even some insight into owning a business. #CreativityInTheClassroom
