The inaugural heART of the City Annual Art Show will be held at Whittier on Friday, April 19 from 5-7:30pm. Check out 2D, 3D, and wearable art made from snack bags & boxes, created by local artists of all ages! The show is open to the public and will benefit Whittier students.

The FACS Food Truck Competition was the culmination of a month-long project on entrepreneurship. 💡 Students had to create a food truck name, slogan, menu, and logo, as well as find a recipe to showcase. Then they had to actually make that recipe for a panel of expert judges (Whittier staff 😉).

Athletics UPDATE: Whittier Soccer and Track & Field Practices for after school today have been cancelled. Student-athletes should head home immediately after school.
UPDATE: The After School Program at YMCA will not be held tonight due to weather. The ASP buses at 3:45pm and 5:30pm will not be coming tonight. The usual Whittier Activities Bus will still be taking students home at 5:30pm. As of now, the ASP will be available as normal Tuesday.

Whittier Očéti Šakówiŋ Owáuŋspe (OSO) students are keeping up their mentoring visits at Terry Redlin Elementary this month. Whittier students engaged with the elementary students by setting up multiple stations in the room to review fractions. #WhittierInTheWild #HelpingHands
